American Petroleum Institute, responsible for developing the standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SQ<\/strong>. The most recent category of gasoline engine oils, replacing the previous \u201cSP\u201d category, with higher protection requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>GF-7<\/strong>.
